Joseph Giardina: Lending a Helping Hand in Charity and Insurance

Recover is a part of insurance; when you work with clients that experience a lot of tragedy and hardship and that can really weigh on someone. Joseph Giardina, the president of North Castle Insurance Agency in Armonk-North Castle, New York, knows that his community is in need so he does what he can to give back, volunteer, and support those that need it most. “Homelessness is something that I’m very empathetic towards,” he says.

One example of his charity work for the homeless is when Joseph Giardina donated 40 hams and 40 turkeys to St. Mary’s church fifteen years ago after he saw a flyer for them needing donations. The banquet is the annual Westchester Christmas dinner, an annual dinner for 350 guests from homeless shelters across the county. “My family and I have been donating ever since and it’s our favorite Christmas activity.”

However, when he first committed to the donation, it was a bit risky for him to do so and it was a little worrisome for his family. “I was a young dad with a new business and it wasn’t the wisest decision,” states Joseph Giardina. “But, I knew it was the right thing to do. It started one of the best family traditions we have now.”

Another great example of his charity work is him being a Board member of the Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation. The Foundation is led by the founder Denise Rich and has very similar goals as Joseph Giardina. “There is so much suffering in the world and my goals are very aligned with this organization,” he says. “Too many people, adults and children, are hurting and struggling with cancers and terminal illnesses and have to find more effective treatments. I love serving for the mission, truly.”

For twenty years, Joseph Giardina has been advising clients on how – and why – to choose the best insurance policies for their needs. “I like to think I help people make decisions that will benefit themselves and their families,” Joseph Giardina says. “I meet people at pivotal times of their lives. Some are excited about buying their first home but unsure how to protect their investment. Some are teens who just got a car and are learning the responsibilities that come with it. Others are buying life insurance for their families. No matter the situation, my team and I sit down with each client and help them be sure they know exactly what they are purchasing.”

North Castle Insurance Agency’s extensive life insurance policies

Life insurance is one of the top three policies that Joe’s clients buy. “It’s a very wise decision,” he says, “because while we would all like to live forever, none of us will. What will happen to your loved ones if the worst happens? This is especially important if you are the primary breadwinner or have children, as that story proves.”

If the key to a new home brings the purchaser excitement, then homeowners insurance brings peace of mind. “A home – be it a condo, a house, an RV, or a trailer – is such an enormous investment and responsibility that no one should be without homeowners insurance,” says Joe. “The policies do, unfortunately, contain a lot of complex terms that can make anyone’s eyes cross. Never be afraid to ask us questions at North Castle Insurance Agency. We will do everything we can to help you have a thorough understanding of what you’re purchasing.”

Additionally, North Castle Insurance Agency offers expertly managed insurance policies for car, umbrella liability, boats/yachts, commercial property, workers’ compensation, and business automobile. “We are a full-service insurance agency for individuals, businesses, and families,” states Joseph Giardina. “We can help you purchase a reliable, reasonably priced policy that fits your situation.”

He has been honored seven times with the Allstate Inner Circle Award and ten times with the Allstate Chairman’s Award. He is a fifteen-time winner of Allstate’s Life Leader Award. What may surprise you about him is that he was honored by the Recording Industry Association of America for the sales of more than 1,000,000 copies of the Hollywood Records compact disc “Jonas Brothers.” When asked about how he did it, Joseph Giardina says, “I am very driven professionally. When given a goal, I set my mind to it and just don’t stop until I’ve reached it. I do the same for my own insurance clients.”

Take care of yourself by investing in insurance, and help others that need help to make sure that you, your family, and your community are taken care of. Joseph Giardina understands this principle and cares a lot about his life and family. “I want to show my clients that same zeal I feel towards my own family and wellbeing so I work to make that happen.”
